Anointing of the Sick
The anointing of the sick is administered to bring spiritual and physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death.
At St. Benedict the Abbot Church, Anointing of the Sick is celebrated communally every October. It is celebrated routinely at the nursing homes in our jurisdiction and by request at home or at the hospital.
Please advise the Parish Office if you are aware of any parishioners who wish to have a priest visit or call them at home.
