Faith Formation
Grade 8
Faith Formation sessions for grade 8 will be held every other Wednesday evening starting September 26 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This expanded session will have service, social and catechetical components. In addition to the Wednesday night classes, Grade 8 students will have the opportunity to attend social events and participate in service projects. A complete listing is given in the Grade 8 Schedule.
Attention 8th Grade Students and Parents
Confirmation Prep Sessions
Confirmation for students of St. Benedict parish takes place in the fall of 9th Grade. All 8th grade students are required to attend Preparation Sessions for Confirmation: June 9 – 13 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. On Monday through Thursday, students will need to bring a bagged lunch. On Friday, we will provide lunch. Please call Colette or Cathy in the Religious Ed office at 724.942.1050.
Reminder for Parents
Please make every effort to bring your children to Religious Ed classes on time. Keep in mind that it is difficult for catechists to cover all the material in the weekly lesson when they lose precious time waiting for students to arrive. Likewise, early dismissal should be avoided. This is important time to share our faith with those who are the future of our Church. Your cooperation in following the schedule helps us. Thank you.

Topics for each session and the Bible readings and review that need to be completed as independent work in preparation for upcoming classes are listed. Please check the syllabus for specific assignments for each week.
