Spiritual-Social-Community Ministries

Ben's Men—Our Men's Club has grown from 36 active members to 182 members, who in turn support 26 committees. Ben's Men have their monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month, September through May. They serve our parish community with spiritual awareness, social interaction and service to others.

CMF (Catholic Men's Fellowship)—The CMF of St. Benedict the Abbot offers Catholic men (fathers, husbands, and single men) the opportunity to share their faith and love for Christ. as Catholic Christian men through prayer and fellowship.

Helping Hands—From time to time we have parishioners who need an extra hand but don’t know where to turn to help. We are building a list of volunteers that might be able to help once in a while.

IHN (Interfath Hospitality Network)—The IHN program is dedicated to helping homeless families stay intact during times of crisis. In operation at our parish for 5 years, IHN helps to make families self-sufficient. In the 5 or 6 weeks per year that St. Benedict hosts families, 20 to 25 families are aided by more than 100 volunteers from the Parish.

MOMS (Ministry of Moms Sharing)—It’s a class! It’s a support group! It’s a prayer group! It’s a way to meet other women in our parish! Come and explore our Catholic faith from a mother’s perspective! Make this valuable commitment to yourself.

St. Vincent de Paul Society— Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron St. Vincent de Paul. We fulfill our Mission Statement in helping individuals and families with their special needs, in complete confidentiality.

Stephen Ministry—A caring and listening ministry providing confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people facing difficulty. The care is man-to-man or woman-to-woman. It is for individuals, not couples or families. The program does not include minors and connects with people over 18 years old.

WOSB (Women of St. Benedict)—Do you like to have fun? Do you enjoy spending time doing something positive? Do you enjoy working with other women? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then WOSB is the perfect place for you. In addition to meetings, we have many varied activities, services projects and fund raisers. We offer something of interest for everyone. A booklet of the Women of St. Benedict is available in the Parish office.

Other ministries include working with Parish Library Committee, Respect Life Committe ( promotes the dignity of human life), Visitors to the Sick, the Vocation Council (promotion of Church vocations), Eucharist Adoration Society (monthly 24 hour adoration), and Passion Play Team. If you are interested in these ministries, please contact the parish office for more information.
